The DH-82A Tiger Moth was designed and built by De Havilland and was first flown at Stag Lane Airfield England in 1931, just 28 years after the Wright Brothers first flew at Kitty Hawk in 1903. Only 8,800 were built with a small number still flying today which is testament to the extreme reliability of this aircraft. It is fully aerobatic as the flying surfaces are made of timber and fabric “rag & tube”. Pilots who flew these aircraft were, and are still known as “stick & rudder” pilots. Unlike modern aircraft with sophisticated trim and stable flight design, the Tiger Moth is a true “seat of the pants” flying experience.

This is our most popular flight which takes in breathtaking Islands views including a low pass over the famous Whitehaven Beach, it's then on to Hamilton Island and if the "pattern isn't full", we may even buzz the tower. We then climb to 4500ft and perform either mild or wild aerobatics.

This flight is designed for those intrepid aviators who would like to experience flight in a vintage Bi-Plane doing aerobatic flips directly over Airlie Beach and the foreshore lagoon.
Happy Bay 20 min $145
From Shute Harbour we fly down to Happy Bay taking in the views of the rugged coastline, rain forest, beaches and the resorts of Long Island. From Long Island we track to Daydream Island via South Molle and then on to the township of Airlie Beach.
Whitehaven Tour 40 min $235
This is our most popular scenic flight taking in the best of what the Whitsunday's has to offer. From Shute Harbour we fly past Daydream and South Molle Islands to Gulnare Inlet. Flying over Whitsunday Island we take in the spectacular shifting sands of Hill Inlet. From here we start our descent for a fly over the silica sands of Whitehaven Beach (a great photo opportunity). Climbing back to 1500ft it's then on to Hamilton Island and Long Island where we track along the rocky coastline. Flying over the the Conway National Park, we decend for a fly over of Airlie Beach township before our return to Shute Harbour.
Whitsunday Tour 60 min $360
Departing Shute Harbour we fly over Daydream Island and the islands of the Molle Group. We then track direct to Langford Reef where we start our decent to 500 ft as we fly past Hayman Island. It's then onto the northern end of Hook Island where we fly over the crystal clear waters and vibrant corals of Butterfly, Luncheon and Manta Ray Bays... without doubt, the best snorkelling in the Whitsunday Islands. We then fly down the rugged coastline of Hook and Whitsunday Islands. At Tongue Point the rugged coastline gives wat to beautiful sands of Hill Inlet and the white silica sands of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world; White Haven Beach. From here we follow the route of the Whitehaven Tour.
